Re: Enjoying Today's HP Computer show

It is a great deal.  I have a HP laptop I'm using now that's almost 6 years old.  I've used it without a problem at all.  I've even worn the letters off the keys that's how much it's been used.  I never put Windows 10 on it because I've always believed it's better to get a computer already installed with the new operating system on it.  I figured if I passed up this fabulous deal my laptop would blow it's lid.  lol   I had to get this.  Too much of a good deal to pass up.  Even without the printer included it's a great deal for what you're getting in the laptop.

And .. lifetime tech support, which I use all the time!

Edit:
The printer is WIRELESS.  I really need a wireless printer.

Yes - but you need 16 gb  RAM to get decent performance.  12 gb  isn't enough.  From a retired software engineer.

For what I use the laptop for 12 gigs is more than enough ram for me.  The laptop I'm using now is 6 gigs and it's enough.

What kind of computer would you recommend, I need a new one soon and don't know what I'm doing when it comes to a computer. Would love your opinion being a retired software engineer. Thanks!!

Re: Enjoying Today's HP Computer show

I do like HP's  altho they are practically impossible to upgrade without taking it to a techie since you have to remove the keyboard.   That is why - I recommend getting as much RAM as possible when you initially  buy it so that you don't need to upgrade it later.  I am typing on  an HP Envy with 16 GB RAM,  Intel Core i7 processor,  1 Terrabyte hard drive.  I also suggest you get a backlit keyboard so you can see it at night.    I don't think the PC's on QVC have a backlit keyboard.

A new PC will already have windows 10 - but then I always install a program called Classic shell - which will make your startup menu look like a Windows 7 menu.

You may want to go to HP's site and look for a computer. You can contact the sales staff for help.

I found an HP Pavilion Laptop 17t. This computer costs about $ 649. This is the number of the item (V3A33AV_1)
