Why can I get to these forums on my tablet and phone, but on my computer it can't be reached due to local host issue? I thought, can get on the main page, etc.

Re: Computer issue

[ Edited ]

@catter70 an idea would be to try a different browser than the one you normally use.  For example, HSN won't play some videos for me on Safari (says I need to sign in, which I already am--yet will play other product videos just fine).  I'll go to Firefox, and all videos will play with no issue.

@Ainhisg , I did that. I finally just started messing around and for what ever reason, it has something to do with VPN, though, it hadn't caused this issue before.

@catter70 I'm so sorry!  That would be frustrating.  Have you completely shut down your computer (not restart--shut down) and then turned it back on?  Sometimes, that will reset everything so that it works correctly.

@Ainhisg ,Thanks, yes, I turn it off every night when done and it had the same issue this morning. I guess I need to turn the VPN off and that seemed to work

I can't sign in to HSN on Safari but I can on other browsers.

I have Nord VPN. I can't tell if it helps much but it does interfere a lot with access to websites I have always used in the past.

@CalminHeart I have no trouble with Safari on HSN.  Is your software updated?  Is it asking for 2 layer sign-in and if so are you getting the number or using a passkey?

Just two thoughts. . . Computers are a mystery because there are always so many possibilities!  Good luck!

One thing that I started doing again is clearing my browsing data. I used to do that weekly but got out of the habit so am trying to remember do it regularly, it cleared up a lot of tedious issues for me. I do a lot of 'surfing' for my job and this helps me clear out the junk.
