Problem with Halo tsv compressor connecting…

Has anyone had any difficulty connecting the compressor hose to car tire?  I can't get good seal , it hisses and causes me to lose air. We checked connections, it snaps in place, but doesn't tighten in place. Is there a trick to doing it? The husband tried as well and ended up using his big compressor without problem. Thank you.Susi.

Re: Problem with Halo tsv compressor connecting…

I'm so glad you asked this question. We had a cold snap and my tire alarm was going off. I had never tried the Bolt air compressor before and was scared I'd let out more air, which would have been bad, since I had no alternative. This has happened to me before with another product.

So I took off to the tire store for air, where I was the 10th vehicle waiting in line for air. Argh! I'd like to avoid this in the future. I'll be anxious to see replies.

Yes, it would be nice to have it, if it works. I called their customer service number and awaiting a callback from them. Has been a while so not hopeful right now for a response. Will let you know if they call with any solution to mystery.

Not a Halo compressor but I own one that has a similar tire-valve connector. You have to push it on securely and then lock it in place with the little side lever by flipping it parallel to the hose. The hissing should stop once your flip the lever. It's not like the ones at the gas station where you just push the thing onto your tire valve. You have to flip the lever. Similar to this:

We did that many times. Customer service called us back and they are sending another hose as possibly a leak in original one.  I bought this specifically to have an easy tire compressor I can do on my own. I have an earlier Halo which I love .  My husband was trapped in his  lazyBoy when we lost power, and the older one came in very handy.

I received mine but haven't used it.  I recall in the presentation that they said there were several different tips included.  Could that have been the problem?  Sorry you're having problems.  I hope the new one works perfectly.

I was wondering that too, but husband said they were for smaller things. We have standard car tire size , so it should have fit. Looked so easy on TV.
