@apple1964    I HAVE A QUESTION - AND THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE !

I recently purchased an ACER CHROMEBOOK 15  and have been  using it a few days....love it.   but this morning, a little box on the right side keeps popping up saying the following ''Finish setting up your Chromebook. Learn the basics and new features for your Chromebook''.......I am always afraid that if I 'click' on something like that, it will lead me down a ''dark tunnel'' of questions that I don't kinow the answer to so instead, I just click on NO THANKS.....but the same box still keeps popping up.  Any help please????

That's probably a safe thing to click on. Chromebooks are typically immune to malware/viruses. That just sounds like they want you to finish setting things up and learn more about your new toy.

Hi @sarahpanda ,

If you're seeing a message in the bottom lower right-hand corner of the Chromebook, this would be the area where you'll usually receive messages from Google/Chrome regarding your Chromebook, so like Gardenman said, it's usually fine to respond to the messages and updates there if you want to do so.

When I first opened up my new HP Chromebook, it was also offering a Chromebook tutorial to me. It still does that if I click on certain pages. Smiley Happy

Each Chromebook is set up a little bit differently as to how things are organized with it.

My husband also has an ACER 15" Chromebook, and when I borrow his, I have to get used to things being a little bit different with his, when I use his, compared to mine. Smiley Happy

Good morning! By, now you know that you have to sign in with a Goggle account to do anything on you device. I would go in and sign in again perhaps you forgot to sign in completly when you got the device home? I would check the sign in page again just to make sure. I am glad you are enjoying your CB you picked a good one with a 15 inch screen. [wonderful choice]. The settings take awhile to get used to but the only reason I believe that you would get that pop up is if Goggle account in not completed. I hope that helps you! Apple1964
