Re: Are Tracfone Users Happy?

Yes, I'm very happy. I'm not a heavy, heavy cell phone user. This is the way to go for me on cost. This is my 3rd phone. Each time I've upgraded is because it's been cheaper to buy a newer phone than to add minutes. I have the triple minutes for life. I've never had a problem initially signing on or adding minutes. The only thing--I just found out that a relative sent me a photo, and it cost me 9 minutes!

I told her to e-mail me a photo from now on.

Re: Are Tracfone Users Happy?

Hi Harpa ~ i say go for it! I've been a Tracfone user since 2001 (analog, not digital, back then! lol). I've had several of their phones since then and currently have a Samsung Galaxy Android which does about everything my desktop computer does for me, such as check news weather, & email. 'Also the Q Lunchtime Specials and forums when necessary! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I'm not a heavy user (originally got one for travel safety), but 'enjoy texting as a way out of actually having to talk to people for any length of time! Wink

I've always found Tracfone customer service to be ever so patient, professional, polite, and very easy to work with in answering my questions.

I have no problems with phone/text/internet service in CT, NJ, PA, but have had limited service way up in north in New York State just south of Plattsburgh/Adirondacks in the past. 'Haven't tried my new phone up there yet, though. Good Luck!

Re: Are Tracfone Users Happy?

Just bought another one, went over to HSN for 79.95 no shipping, no tax for me, it's a great deal and a perfect phone.

That's triple minutes, one year of service and for that kind of money, people are paying that for one month with other carriers.

Well, I did it. Not the biggest deal phone, but more sophisticated than what I had & w/ triple minutes. I already like it, and like that we don't have to pay high monthlies. (Purchased on-line.)

Thanks for everyone's input!

I think you'll learn to love it. We do. It does all we need and as you said, not another bill coming in monthly...got enough of those.

Works well for me. I started off with Net10 then to Tracfone many, many years ago. I mostly text so even though I like the Android, the LG840G is cheaper to use. I rarely talk on the cell or use it for internet. It depends on how you are going to use the phone to decide which is best for your needs.

Prepaid is the way to go if you are a light user. You will save lots of $!

Re: Are Tracfone Users Happy?

I think I posted the following on the wrong thread. Hope this is the correct one to ask for info. Sorry. {#emotions_dlg.blushing}

I purchased the Samsung Centura on the TSV and need a little help. First, Tracfone got the phone activated but (after two days of trying) they could not get it to make or receive calls. They finally told me to return the phone to QVC who will send me a replacement phone. While I am waiting, could someone please answer a question for me? After you dial a number and hear "touch one for....." or "then touch three for....." then touch six for....", how do you do that? After you dial someone, how can you go back to press what department you need? I don't want to hang up, just get to the right department that I need.

One more question: Did a lot of testing while they were trying to fix the phone. I asked if the test calls were being charged to my minutes for all those tests and they said YES. This should not be right. My phone was activated by Tracfone but they couldn't get it to work. I was making the calls from wifi inside my home. Any thoughts? Thank you for your help.

Yes. I love mine. It's everything I need it to be.
