Where would I find a good deal on this?

I go thru the tracfone web site. And usually when I'm buying it they gave the option to extend it to 2 years for an additional fee and for me the 2 year option doesn't show till I have the one year card in my shopping cart.

The past 2 years I have gone to Radio Shack and just bought a new phone as the deals with the new phones are cheaper than just buying min. Both times I got a great semi smart phone - now i have a LG 840G - plus a year of service and 1500 min for $98. On Tracfone's site you pay that just for the service. So the phone is essentially free. Then Radio Shack will sell you a warranty on the phone for $20 - which I used last year to replace my phone for free when my nephew pulled me into the pool with my phone in my pocket. I don't think there is any better deal out there.

You can buy the Tracfone one year card at Radio Shack, Walmart, etc. but if you want lots of minutes and a one year card along with triple minutes than go to QVC - either go with the new android phone if Verizon towers are plentiful in your area or if you don't care about android just go with the LG840 for $70 and shipping you get 1400 minutes, triple minutes for life of the phone and a one year card.

If you go to Walmart, Radio Shack and buy the one year card it will cost you more most likely and then you get the minutes and triple minutes as a bonus -

Off Tracfones website would cost you $119.00 for 1 year card with 800 minutes and then double minutes...not good -

I think the cards cost the same every where you go. You can get deals on the phones with minutes such as the one QVC is offering as the TSV today but the cards to add minutes or days (or both), at least in my area, cost the exact same in each and every store. I've never seen them on sale anywhere. It's very easy to go from one tracfone to another so for my family, we've found just upgrading the phone when there are deals like these work best.

You should be able to purchase minutes right on your phone, I can on my LG840. Yes the minutes cost the same wherever you chose to purchase them. You can also just go to the tracfone website and purchase minutes.

I agree that getting a new phone plus minutes are a better deal but we did that last year and hate the new touchey phones. We transferred minutes to our old-fashioned slider phone. All I need is the one year card plus we have double minutes. Do we need to buy a card directly from tracfone to get double minutes? TIA

No you dont frenchie, the double minute feature is programmed into your phone so however you chose to purchase your minutes they will show up doubled on your phone.

I had an LG 840g phone, then HSN had the phone + 1 year + 1500 minutes for $69. Last fall. I bought it, pitched the phone and added the minutes to my old phone so now I only paid less than $7/mo for service.
