My Echo has developed a little personality. There is a chime that sounds throughout the day, it repeats many of my words when I type, and everytime I send an email, a dog barks. Honestly, I didn't do anything to my sounds.

WHAT???? Weird. I've never heard of this. I thought she wasn't suppose to be listening/spying unless she is spoken to. Hmmmm.....Really strange.

Does it repeat the words you are typing or just words you've said to her? The dog barking comes from the Echo?

Please tell details or examples. Oh my...

Wow! Not sure I'd be happy with that! Have you contacted the Echo folks?

It repeats parts of the words I'm typing. I turned the sounds off on my iPad but it's still doing it. No, I haven't contacted Echo.

It sounds like a bug. I'd unplug her for five minutes then plug her back in and see if it fixes the issue.

I am the BIGGEST dork! Today I finally received my Echo that I ordered at the beginning of January. This is so much fun! Set up couldn't have been easier. The speaker is far better than I anticipated. There are some limitations, but I do think in time, the applications will increase. Even if they don't, the simplicity of asking to items added to a shopping list as I'm busy in the kitchen and the ease in accessing music and information makes this a really nice addition in my home. For a little unnecessary splurge, this is definitely great.

I asked Alexa to play Beatles' music on Pandora and IHeartradio.Well she tells me she is finding a Beatles station and proceeds to play everything but! Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it her?

Pandora and iHeart Radio both make up radio stations featuring artists similar to the one you ask for. If you ask for a Beatles station you'll get some Beatles music and some music similar to the Beatles, but not all Beatles. I have a Linda Eder station that I use a lot on both platforms and in addition to Linda Eder you get a lot of Kristin Chenowith, Barbara Streisand, and similar singers in addition to the occasional Linda Eder song. If you tell Echo to play "The Beatles" and you have any Beatles Music in Amazon's cloud or if there's any in Amazon Prime, you'll get to hear those Beatles songs with no one else thrown in, but on Pandora and iHeart Radio you'll get a bit of the artist you request and lots of similar artists. You can customize Pandora (and I think iHeart) by using the thumbs up or thumbs down options on music you like and music you don't care for.

gardenman thanks for the clarification. I thought that there were stations that played only a certain artist or type of music. I would think with the large catalog of Beatles music there could be a station devoted just to them.
