Things are pretty quiet on the Echo invite front so far this week. I haven't seen where anyone got an invite yet this week, so we could be entering a different phase of the Echo sweepstakes now. They could be sold out. They could be waiting until after the holidays to resume shipping. They could be releasing the invites on a different day. Things are just very quiet right now.

I brought an IPod touch on Black Friday from Apple. I am going to pass on the Echo.

I just got an invitation so that must mean everyone got one. It's good for 7 days. I think I'm gonna use it.

I seriously doubt that it had anything to do with it, but I had two occasions to call Amazon in the weeks before I got my invite. Both times, I made a plea to the C/S person to put in a good word for me as I was most anxious to receive the Echo. One said that for sure, she would do that. The other one said that she would send a note to Corporate. Maybe they did, and maybe they didn't. But I did get my invitation and am enjoying the Echo.

I did have to call Echo Tech Support for two minor questions (mainly because I'm not very tech savvy!). In both cases, the Support folks both said they had yet to receive their invitations also! Though there was one unit in the office for them to play with.
