FYI:
I received my last Christmas packages Oct 13, 2017. Two were returns HSN due to poor quality, I was going to wait until January to return, glad I didn't, the packages were mailed back on Monday Oct 30, 2017.
One package has been received. Believe it or not the 2nd package going to New York did not leave the post office until Nov 02 2017.So if you have items being return, to any of the shopping channel mail now or Dec 26 2017 to get credit before January 31, 2017. My advice it's not worth the hassle, I did about 80% of my Christmas from local retailers, other 20% online. Order nothing from QVC until they figure out their shipping issues.
@GRACIE I posted in my OP that I asked the UPS store for a receipt, and they could not give me one for that package. It was probably because it was going USPS. I wrote down the tracking # though and tracked it for one day. Then tracking said it was passed off to another shipper and no further tracking would be available.
A couple of days later I got an e-mail from QVC with a tracking # from the new shipper. It was delivered to QVC this morning.

QVC received my package on the third, and today (the 5th) I got an e-mail from them saying the return had been processed. I'm happy with the outcome. It wasn't so bad since they sent me an e-mail with the tracking information after I no longer could track it through the USPS.
I returned something to L. L. Bean a couple of days before I returned the shoes to QVC. They got it before QVC got theirs, and I still haven't heard from them.
