Re: Think I Have The Low Down

@Kachina624

This posters previous post was the first one about this from her.

See my comments because I believe she is mistaken about who is to blame for her situation.

Re: Think I Have The Low Down

I'm confused on what the issue was.

@Roscoe the Rascal.  It sounds like QVC called to give her a promotional code and she went ballistic claiming it was a scam.

What possible motive would a scammer have in giving a code for a discount to use at QVC?  Scammers don't give things; they take them and it's usually information.  She said the code didn't work as they often won't because they have stipulations.

She could have clarified everything with a call to CS.

Hi @77yangya

Glad you have calmed down.

But please know that 800-367-9444 IS QVC's CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER.  I have had it for years.

Even if i is someone else spoofing the number, I believe it's not a big deal as long as one DON'T SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION with people who call you that are not your friends.

If I receive a call claiming to be from a business I deal with, and asks me for personal information, I tell them I am hanging up and calling the regular number I have for them.

If you are not sharing personal information in a phone call, then I am not aware of any risk.

Clicking on email and text message links can be very dangerous because the sender can get information from your computer without your knowledge.  Make sure to know what you are clicking on.

Take care.

@NYCLatinaMe - I think they now have a few CS numbers. The one I use is (800) 455-7066.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

Re: Think I Have The Low Down

I don't understand what the OP meant by "calling the authorities" in the other thread because the coupon code didn't work.
