Receiving someone’s return

[ Edited ]

Just received two  pairs of Earth Sandals  : KRISTEN  A304187- in Black and Olive.

Had my first issue with the order when it was stated the "special offer would expire June 8th . "  I hurried and ordered only to find the next day on June 9th,  this shoe  was the same exact price as the day before , but now with free shipping and four easy pays.  Of course it was too late to cancel and re-order.

Called and was told nothing could be done about the easy pays , however the shipping would be credited to my account in a few days.

Today I received the two pairs of sandals , and upon opening the box with the Black pair, it was obviously a return as there was no packaging , shoe inserts, etc, as had been with a previous pair ordered or with the olive pair received today.

I picked up the shoes , to look for signs of wear /having been tried on , to find they were ripped loose and hanging out  all the way down the middle of the shoe.

Surely QVC can do better than this.

This happened to me too with Sketchers shoes.  QVC took them back and sent me brand new ones.   I can't believe they would send out a pair that was obviously worn and with no packaging.  My shoes came in a plain white box.

So sorry this also happened to you !   Why do they even put something like this in inventory ?  I am just livid.

Now the wait- as customer service said they would process them as an exchange , meaning I get to wait on them to receive these shoes back and process them (hopefully not back into inventory again !) then process and ship out the exchange.   Now I could see this if I ordered the wrong size or decided I wanted a different color but when they ship out used /torn up items, I think the replacement should go out immediately.

If I am lucky , I may have them for the 4th of July !Smiley Mad

@twocent  I'd be very surprised if you didn't.  The cream of the crop of the Customer Service people are the mods here, and they are exceptionally helpful.  Far better than calling or live chatting with Customer Service.

@Pearly

Good to know. Thank you so much .Heart

  It seems that a phone call to cs isn't what it once was.    Have noticed that for a while now. Smiley Sad

Twocent:  This is unacceptable and I am glad the Mods have responded to you.

When I read a post of this nature, the first question that comes to mind is why does QVC accept back returns in this condition?  I am guessing that they get a lot of returns and don't properly inspect them, but in my opinion every one should be inspected and any sender returning an item in bad condition should not get their money refunded.
