@Linmo - I wonder if the issue is that you placed the new order instead of having a CS rep (and I'm talking a moderator here, not the phone reps) place it and honoring the price of your cancelled order?  Could they be misunderstanding the situation?  That THEY cancelled your original order, not you?  That this is you trying to get the item you ordered on waitlist?

If they really aren't willing to do that for you and this is a new policy, they'll definitely lose sales in the future.  How frustrating to know that they have the item you want in stock and that they just cancelled your waitlist order.  And you're expected to order it again and pay a higher price?  No, thanks.

I've had them email me in the past about waitlist orders I placed, to say they can't get stock within the 45 days, but would hold the order as they expected to get stock some time after that.  Smiley Sad

kind of stinks, but I take that as a message that perhaps I didn't really need it, or I will find same or similar later for less

I had a similar experience.  It must be a new policy.  Of course they didn't bother to tell us.

I just had an order for a Clinique beauty item that was a special during their Anniversary sale cancelled.  I received an email on 7/9/21 advising of a delay in shipment of my item and apologizing for the situation.  I checked the order status today and found out that QVC had cancelled my order.  I did not receive any notification about the cancellation.  And the system shows that the item is sold out.  So, why did they accept my order in the first place if they did not have enough inventory to fill it?  Very annoying.  Makes me reconsider placing any future orders with QVC.

Finally got a letter in the mail from QVC today advising that my order for the Clinique item had been cancelled.  Mail rather than email?

Lo and behold, HSN now has the same Clinique item on at the same special price that QVC offered weeks age.  Placed a new order with HSN and there is no indication that they will not be able to fill my order.  Anyone who is a fan of Clinique Black Honey Almost lipstick especially if you were not able to get it from QVCC should go over to HSN and place an order.  Crazy QVC Customer Service as far as I can see in this case!  Anyone in Customer Service want to comment?
