I am so irritated by this service.  I just checked and now it just say the original date 11/07.  Nothing after that.  I ordered an ipad cover from Amazon.  Got it in 2 days. I ordered the wrong size and guess what?  You can drop it off at a local Kohls and they will send it on to Amazon for FREE!  I really think long and hard before ordering anything from QVC.

what am I missing here? Seems like your beef is with the post office, not QVC. USPS is  the company that has no tracking system and your packages could have already been delivered but still say "processing" Are you upset with QVC because you think using their return label causes all this mess?

I have always taken packages directly to the PO,  weight them on the scale myself, find out how much it costs to ship back and if it is less, or comparable to QVC's return label fee, I print the label from the post office and use that. So far I have had no problems with that.

If you call the usps 800# and open an investigation they will investigate and find out what happened.  You will have to provide information off your receipt.  I had this happen once and called, the post office then changed the online received date to reflect a later date and I called 800# again and reported it.  Got results and packages shipped out immediately.  By the dates of arrival and picked up it appears the package has been put on wrong truck as it left and then back to Torrance again.  Call 800# for USPS and open an investigation.

@Sahmlam and @janz - My post office will not give a receipt.  I asked and was told that I would have to fill out a card and pay $3 (I'm assuming return receipt requested).  This is happening at lots of post offices apparently.  Been reading lots of comments about this.

@PatriciaG

The receipt you need is the one that is automatically printed when the USPS clerk scans the item at the post office.  They must keep a record of all transactions.  They usually will accept the package at the window but tell them you want the receipt you dropped it off as they are not used to doing that because they know the packages are scanned when they are picked up to transport to QVC.  When you drop off package at a window tell them you want the receipt....not return receipt requested.  On the receipt is the tracking number and date you gave it to the post office.  The smaller office I went to said he didn't scan which is why I couldn't get a receipt and I will not go there again.  Some of the packages were scanned when picked up but now 3 are missing.  I took pictures when I dropped them off so do have a picture "proof"

That was the problem at my post office as the clerks DO NOT scan the preprinted label and requested all QVC or other prepaid packages be left at the unattended drop off window.  When I complained I was told they recently got new cash registers which no longer allows them to scan prepaid labels for FREE.  If you request them to scan it, you have to pay for the receipt.

Recently however, people must have complained, because now, while standing in line, a clerk comes there with a hand held scanner and will print out a receipt for free to speed up the long lines.

I think how the PO handles prepaid labels varies by where you live.  Obviously it shouldn't as policies should be universal.

@PinkSunset - my beef is with QVC as they are now using the USPS as well as a third party for returns.  This has not just happened to me but many people according to this forum.  They are using this system to cut their costs. In the meantime, they are holding my money.

@janz - I asked them to scan but they refused.  I am very leery about purchasing from QVC now - at least clothes, shoes, etc., that I might want to return.

Against QVC policy to start duplicate threads.  Could be the reason.

Maybe use a different topic title?  Or feel free to use this one.
