Your dispute is your only ability to resolve the matter since QVC wouldn't. Their email sounds somewhat threatening, if I am reading it right.

If you cancel your dispute and QVC does not refund, then you are most certainly out the money. I would stand firm.

Best of luck to you with this situation.

Lovestheshores,

Thank you.  I felt bullied by that email.  It also insisted I repay the temporary refund I received.  Before my dispute has even been settled.

Do I get proof that my return was actually missing.  Are there security cameras?  Was the box tampered with in shipping or receiving?  Are there other similar incidents?

@brightblonde  @this sounds very suspicious. I have had a very bad experience with this company and find they are not customer friendly. I would keep the dispute on your credit card. I don't understand why they want you to repay the temporary refund if they are going to handle it. Beware as they are not looking out for you.

That email read like they weren't going to allow more purchases until this dispute is settled.  Interesting communication!!

Update:

I got an email from QVC, stating they were notified by my bank, about my dispute & temporary refund.  In part it says, "We would hate for this to be an error and it interrupts your ability to shop with us".  "You can also responded to this email, giving us permission to close the dispute with the financial institution and we will take care of the rest".

I found their response very odd & offensive.

I will not cancel my dispute.  But my only proof is my return receipt.

Sounds very much like a "if you don't cancel the dispute no more QVC for you".   Horrible customer service.

I also agree with @Milmad , definitey sounds like a QVC receiving problem.  Somebody (I mean whatever QVC dept)  should check ebay for all the QVC jewelry being sold there and who the seller is.

I agree.  It's a shame because I have been a good customer since the beginning,  I remember Molly Daly, Jeffrey Hewson, Bob Bowersox, Steve Bryant, many others ... and of course, Kathy Levine.  In all those years, they made a good profit off me.  With no problem until now.  But I don't feel comfortable shopping there anymore.

Good point.  They should check into that.  But it's apparent they don't care.

I would recommend to anyone returning jewelry or other valuable item, take a video from now on.  That shows the item being packed & taken to the post office or UPS.  Maybe extra insurance, too.

I recently RECEIVED an empty envelope from QVC that was supposed to contain a Jennifer Miller heart necklace.  There was no evidence of tampering - it appears the envelope was mailed empty.  QVC did send me another at no charge when I advised them, but seems to me the problem may not be at the post office or UPS.

My son works for UPS. Most UPS stores and hubs have multiple cameras. The only privacy they have is in the bathroom. Everything else is recorded. Since this has happened to a few people who returned jewelry, I suspect it's a QVC Returns Department theft. QVC should launch an investigation immediately. So sorry you are going through this.

I returned a Fire Light ring via UPS, as well.  I was unable to print out a QVC label for some reason, so I contacted Customer Service and I was told they do not provide return labels for that item.  That was certainly a first for me....  I had to make my own return label; I packed up the ring, in it's original box, and taped the package securely shut.  When I took it to the UPS store, I was shocked to discover that normal UPS insurance will insure your package only up to $100.00.   Since my ring was over $3,000, it cost me $62.00 to fully insure my return.  I was outraged, but paid it...thinking just my luck it would get lost or stolen.  Thankfully, my return reached QVC safely, and I received a full refund.  But, I will NEVER order another big ticket item from QVC again.

I am so sorry that this happened to you.  Hope you can get this satisfactorily resolved.

Spoiler

WOW 😯 that's a lot of $$$ for insurance.

I'm still waiting for a resolution to my dispute.  QVC responded saying my dispute is invalid because they haven't received the item.  And they want a refund for one EZ payment of $205.

There's no mention of receiving an empty box.  Or anything about the other 5 EZ payments.

I submitted my UPS receipt & tracking info for proof.

When we return Amazon purchases via the UPS Store the item is not in a box, I have the item and the return authorization to the UPS clerk and he scans it, puts the item in the box he hands me a receipt stating that I returned the item, the scan includes a photo of the item. I don't usually send things to HSN or QVC, my DH does that using his business account.  Thanks for the warning, I'll be careful about this in the future. I sure hope this works out, I would not be happy with that poorly veiled threat.
