Waitlist items, general quality of products

I waitlisted for the POM POM city bag in Rose Gold.  I bought the one in white and liked it very much and waitlisted for the Rose Gold.  Approx 3 mos later i noticed that my credit card was charged and the rose gold bag was being shipped out.  Waitlist means you are getting a new and unreturned bag from the manufacturere when they come back in stock.  What did I receive?  A returned bag that was missing items.  I called customer care and they sent out a second for an exchange and that was even worse. Bag was ovbiously used-----------Sent them both back.  The wharehouse staff is sloppy and disrespectful in handling orders, and exchanges and QVC has lost quality in general.  I have had to send back most of what I get due to missing parts, defective, poor quality and on and on.  I am coming to closure with this as spending my free time wrapping up items and taking them out  to UPS of the USPS is getting on my nerves.  What is going on with QVC.  It is no longer a reliable site for anything

@Judara.  You've really had a run of bad luck.  I've been a very busy customer since the 1980s, have received dozens of customer returns and have never received anything that wasn't in pristine condition.

It's not necessary to traipsing to the USPS to return items.  Using the QVC return label, you can complete a short form on the USPS website and your carrier will pick up your pkg and email you a receipt.

No, Waitlist does NOT mean you will receive a 'brand' new item.

What made you think that?

Going on waitlist means it is possible you will receive a returned item.

Some items are one order only for a very long time, so any waitlist items received would have to be a return.

However, they should NEVER send you a defective item.   I would not say Warehouse workers are 'disrespectful'  poorly trained maybe.

is correct, you never need to leave the house to make a return.  As she said, use the label, free USPS pickup.  Just make sure they don't charge you the return label fee.

Precisely why I ordered my Pom Pom bags directly from their website. It arrived in 3 days London to Phoenix, no shipping charges and in perfect condition.

This is exactly why I rarely order from here any longer.  This has been going on for MANY years.

I no longer deal with it as it's a waste of my time.

I read your reply "RespetLife" and it got me thinking.  This is just a rhetorical question but I would think that if I had something on waitlist I would ultimately get a new item, not a return (essentially an "as is" item).  If the item is on waitlist at the full price and a customer receives a return then why should the customer pay full price for a used item. Food for thought I guess.

Re: Waitlist items, general quality of products

@Melzie.  The dozens of returns I've received. Over the years have been in perfect condition and certainly were not "used".

Thank goodness they make returns available or I would have missed out on some of my favorite things.

"As is" items are more likely to have been samples shown on air or show some signs of wear.

My bad!  I was actually responding to @RespectLife and the comment about a brand new item.  It got me to thinking that if you have something on wait list at full price and you aren't getting a brand new item why should you pay full price for it.  It was just a thought not a criticism.
