@brightblonde  Did you put your ring box in a taped package or did you just hand a QVC label with the ring box in no package?

Yes, I put the ring box in a taped package.  I used the original shipping box and a Q return label. It was securely sealed when I took it to an authorized UPS store.  I followed their return instructions properly.

My credit card will issue a temporary refund while they investigate my dispute.
QVC will be notified and given 45 days to respond.

I would think that wherever these packages are returned that there are cameras everywhere.  I'm sure if someone at the Q took it, it would be on camera somewhere.  I do wonder how often the Q receives empty boxes.

From now on take a picture before and when you return the item . Has it come down to this for proof of a return ? So many thieves, who to trust ? Very few individuals and sad !

Sadly, anyone can take a picture but then mail an empty box. A picture before mailing proves nothing really.  It's too bad honest people like the poster are affected.

Re: Jewelry Return Stolen!

[ Edited ]

Update:

I got an email from QVC, stating they were notified by my bank, about my dispute & temporary refund.  In part it says, "We would hate for this to be an error and it interrupts your ability to shop with us".  "You can also responded to this email, giving us permission to close the dispute with the financial institution and we will take care of the rest".

I found their response very odd & offensive.

I will not cancel my dispute.  But my only proof is my return receipt.

Your dispute is your only ability to resolve the matter since QVC wouldn't. Their email sounds somewhat threatening, if I am reading it right.

If you cancel your dispute and QVC does not refund, then you are most certainly out the money. I would stand firm.

Best of luck to you with this situation.

Lovestheshores,

Thank you.  I felt bullied by that email.  It also insisted I repay the temporary refund I received.  Before my dispute has even been settled.

But it was actually QVC customer service that suggested I file a dispute with my bank.  Now, they want me to cancel it?!

If this was a small amount, I would give up and take the loss.  But it's over $1,000 and it's the principle.  If tampering happened, it was during shipping or receiving.  That's their responsibility.

I have my receipts ... where is their proof?
