Re: Apparently I'm a bad customer!

I get why they do this.  The check option is there for those who probably have no credit cards and still use checks - not to reserve items you may or may not want to purchase!!  It is not right to use the check option to "reserve" an item while deciding if you really want it!!  Someone who really wants to buy it is then not able to if it sells out because you are holding it.  If you're not sure you really want it, just take the chance that it will be there when you finally do your research and decide it's "right for you"!!

Reread your own post.  You obviously cancel too many things, that they've already paid people to process and set aside.  Or maybe you don't send your check soon enough.  Why should they hold anything?

I'm amazed how so many people "spend thousands" complain so much.  LOL always reminds me of people in retail that say "I pay your salary"  Makes no difference even if it's true, once you start costing them money, you are a bad customer.

@Illini79   Why not have a designated credit card just for QVC only??

You are safe using it as it is not using your own money upfront... the cards are secure as far as if you are worried about theft... less chance of that than MAILING A CHECK.... cards are backed 100% if there is any fraud... and you can just order things right away.. no waiting or being told you are a 'BAD CUSTOMER" as you put it.

Just pay it off every month.. get the bill... pay it off... easy. No interest or anything. It is like borrowing money for free!

Re: Apparently I'm a bad customer!

My ex BFF was notorious for ordering things on check hold so she could think about if she really wanted it or not and then she'd call in and switch to card payment if she decided she wanted it. I have no problem with QVC cutting off people who abuse their generosity.

If you are ordering only to plan to research the item thoroughly then canceling, then yes you are a bad customer. Someone paying by credit card, or debit, could get that item who really wanted it. Not just to set it aside for you to mull it over first. Not fair.

@Illini79 you get the advantage of the three easy pays so you only have to put out 1/3 of your money.

Apparently you missed the part where I mentioned that items were not being processed & set aside. That is a myth.

As as for me "complaining so much" - doesn't happen.  I rarely post here as I don't usually have much free time.

It's not a myth, I've seen items disappear from the list of available once I put them in my cart. In fact this happened about a month ago, apparently there was only one item in that color. It never came back in that color, because I actually ordered it and actually paid for it.
