Family member ordered me the My Grandma's coffee cake and upon opening it, the inside white box had tiny little ants on it, and the sealed bag had ants inside of it. Unsure at what point they infested it, at the warehouse or in the UPS truck. I tossed the cake, clean protein I read but, no thanks. 😂
Just a forewarning that others may have the same issue. The warehouse is in Florence, SC. They may want to check their inventory.

Ant eggs in flour can go all the way back to the milling plant. Then they hatch in the final product.

Ooh Nooo. I am on waitlist for my first order from this vendor. I know thngs can happen during transportation if thats the case the packaging needs upgrading. If the ants were in the flour shouldn't someone notice, or you wouldn't be able to tell?

Wouldn't the ants get baked or could they withstand the heat?

Very odd and interesting.
Every Grandma's I have received were shipped directly from the bakery in Massachusetts within days of ordering.
I have never received one from a QVC Group warehouse. That seems strange.

If you have not done so please call customer service and alert them to a potential problem. They will refund it immediately, or replace it. I'm sure they would appreciate knowing as would the supplier. Last year we had an issue with ants, itty bitty ants, getting into our items (food and non food alike!) - at our mailbox. We put an antrap in the box (rural delivery) and a note for the mailman not to remove it.

We laughed it off. "The cinnamon appears to be moving." Keep hearing about needing more protein. 😂 But they did call to tell CS about it the next day, and was able to get a refund. They're going to check into it.
As far as the brand, I've ordered them before for gifts, delivered for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and had no issues. I ordered more this summer for the same reason. When we realized I never had the chance to try it they ordered this one without me knowing.
CS apologized, though really no one is at fault. It's just one of those things. Warehouse or delivery trucks sitting overnight in the summer heat, and sugar ants (not the Australia ones, the teeny tiny ones are called that around here, too) are bound to discover desserts.
