No one knows your password but if you login to a site that is not secure hackers I'm sure can see what it is plus your cc info.

For many of us, it hasn't been that way for about 10 days.

Again this morning when I signed into the forums, I was taken to my account info instead of the forums.

I use IE on my laptop.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I answered on a forum and my I pad went down--- nothing. Won't be on again. This needs to be fixed. Do they not have the capability to correct this?

Since I noticed that 'i' thing on the address bar, I clicked on it and it was kind of weird to me to see that there were 148 cookies being used on this site, on my computer. I blocked and deleted everything except the cookie for being logged in.

It was everything from Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, stuff I never heard of - yikes!

You can block them and I hope it means it blocks them permanently, but don't know that yet since I just did it today.

It doesn't necessarily mean that the site isn't secure, but rather that the software isn't configured the way Chrome wants it to be. It might be insecure, but it also might just be that QVC's IT Dept is going to take their time getting around to changing things...or not.

Almost every site involved in commerce takes pains to be sure that all aspects of their website are compatible with IE, Edge (IE's replacement), Safari, Chrome and Firefox. QVC never has; it's as if IE and Safari should be enough for everyone. It's been a continuing attitude.

I thought I'd just mention this, and if it's meaningless in terms of true password security, please know that I don't intend to mislead, just to pass on something I observed FWIW.

I'm here on an old version of Chrome, on an old computer that's much slower than the whiz-bangs of today. Because it's slow, it's often possible to see things that happen at warp speed on a new system, like the objects that load with a page, or page redirects.

Back to the Q, when I had to sign in yet again this evening, the page had an https address throughout the sign-in process, but the "https" was not in green as it is on my other secure pages, and there was no padlock to the left of it.

HOWEVER, when I clicked on the "Sign In" button, the https in the address bar changed to green and a padlock appeared--all in a fraction of a second, and then the green and the lock were gone.

I would like to hope that that may mean that the actual transmission of our password data is being protected, but I'll leave that to finer minds to judge.

@hennypenny, when I logged in just now it went directly to a secured lock. Took me to my order page and then the lock is gone when I came into the Community.

Maybe they heard you!
