Re: publishers clearing house

There was a poster on this forum who won4-5k:  she thought it was a joke, but along with the check came tax forms.....

I know magazines are still popular, but I wonder if they took a hit because of the Internet.....for $10/month, you can read as many magazines as you want on Amazon.  I love magazines and newspapers, but I sure don't like disposing them.

 @Tribesters  me as well.   In fact, I am always thankful for those who do not enter thinking it is a scam....my odds are better for that!

.....and that someone in my city, with my initials is a definite winner, LOL!

I think it's a scam by the USPS.....considering how many stamps I've used over the years to mail all of those entries in!

I do think that PCH must make the cash awards that they advertised, otherwise they'd be shut down by the FTC as a scam.

However, chances of winning are slim, and to me it's just a way to collect names/addresses to send all their junk mail.......Today companies use technology to collect habits of internet users and to send advertisements and spam.....  I think PCH uses this old fashioned method to capture the same info and use it to send junk mail from their advertisers and sponsors  to potential customers.....  I think their time has come and gone.....

@SharkE

Supposedly this site will help you only receive things you want through the mail.......but if it works as "good" as the Do Not Call Lists or opt out credit card solicitications...well what can I say....it might be just a waste of time......
