Their big problem will be with younger viewers, so many don't even CONSIDER getting cable, any more than they sign up for land line phones. Sometimes I feel like they are bleeding the 'dinosaurs', lol! And yes, I remember when basic cable was less than $20 a month, taxes and fees and all, lol!

I read a great/infuriating article about the price of cable.  Not only do they cram channels in that most folks aren't watching but the $$$'s that sports add to the bottom line is mind boggling (and this is separate from the supplemental sports packages) so when you read about how much money both pro and college sports are getting with each new contract that is negotiated, please know that is coming out of your pocket whether you watch it or not.
