Hi Danky; good to see you here. I have friends is Far Hills, NJ, and a friend that lives in Morristown, NJ. My friends (a married couple) in Far Hills had their house built, and it is beautiful with big white columns, and a long, circular driveway. I have heard of the Catskills, but I have never been there.

Hi Snappy; so glad that the windows are in. My brother and SIL's new house has solar heating, guess that they have "gone green". Love the witches brew. Sounds good to me. Bet your daughter was appreciative. Do you think that this year, she has an easier class to teach?

SNAPPY....quick note so I don't forget..last night's dinner was Veal Marsala, Rice Pilaf, sliced local tomatoes and grilled corn on the cob....we went out for ice cream later in the evening. Can you give us a general idea about how to prepare the Witches Brew ? Brown meat and add tomato sauce, cooked noodles and whole kernel corn ? I want to make it for a Sunday Supper kind of meal when we are watching football...Thanks !

Hello everyone. It's still hot out here, but I do think the new windows and doors make a difference. DD is having the 3 day blind people come today to help her chose new window coverings for her bedroom and den. The old ones won't fit because the new windows are thicker, and they needed to go anyway.

Issy, hi there. It's Thursday....Bistro day? Makes me feel like making spaghetti in your honor. Glad your DB and his wife have gone solar. We are always having people come here trying to talk us into that, but I'm way too old to ever realize any savings and DD doesn't need any more expenses. It's only the 3rd day of school, so it's hard to know about her new class. It does have more girls than boys which is very unusual. She is tired, so I'm glad it's almost the weekend. Takes time to get the kids into their routine and get used to early rising. Thanks for caring.

Brown the meat, add the tomato sauce and corn, and the cooked noodles. Yep. Sometimes I think it would benefit from some more spicy tomato sauce, but DD doesn't like spiciness.

I'm sorry to know that Joan Rivers passed away. Sorry for her DD and GS and all who loved her. Wonder what will happen to her line on the Q. Do you think that Melissa could carry on with it? I don't know if she worked with her on that or not. Anyway, it's sad.

Hi Snappy; I, too, am so sad to hear about Joan Rivers. We always hope for the best.

I can't believe that you still have ants. They certainly are resourceful little critters. Hope that they are gone for good soon. My brother's house was equipped with solar, yada, yada, yada when he bought it. He says that his energy bill is very low. Today was spaghetti day, but I decided to have something light for lunch. From what I understand, Bistro Boy has another job, but I don't have any idea where. Speaking of food, my mom used to make a dish similar to the witches brew, but she used taco sauce, onions and cut up corn tortillas and put them in at the last minute.....delicious.

Hi Cute. I was wondering if you were going to the Funfest this year. Your town certainly knows how to have fun. I will be looking the bikini magazine.

We our so EXCITED, as the paper here is doing an article on our grand - daughter an the magazine...so sweet..yes My Corvette is all geared up, with the FLAGS for " CORVETTE FUNFEST " here !! yes this town, is booming..it's " CORVETTE'S " for VETERANS this year !! they will have special parking an the whole deal..so exciting..Our Baby Bunny was out side when my Hubby an I were setting in the back / yard..it came right up,to us, an started eating grass..so cute..Yes Your SIL sure knows how to throw a party..an your Witches Brew your Mother fixed sounds good.. I love a TACO SALAD, with corn chips in it..

Hi friends. Yesterday I went to the eye doctor, so I didn't get on here at all. He replaced a lost tear duct plug and used the laser to zap away the scar tissue in my right eye, that was caused by the cataract surgery. Had the other one done some time ago. No pain or anything. DD picked out her window coverings and they will come on Tuesday. Monday morning we are having the air ducts cleaned. Hoping that really makes a difference in our eyes in and with coughing, etc. All that icky stuff gets circulated through the house with the AC or heater.

cute, it's in the 90s here too but not that awful humidity you have. How exciting that the paper is doing an article on your GDD! You are celebrities for sure. I can see Maybeline with flags flying. So nice of them to do it for the vets. We owe them so much. Glad you saw the baby bunny. Have you given him a name?

Issy, we are hoping to notice a difference in our utility bills. Solar panels can help for sure. Glad to know BB has a new job. Good for you having something light for lunch. Your mom's dish sounds good. I have a recipe for stacked enchiladas. Haven't made it for years. DD#1 made it for her hubby who liked it. They take turns either cooking dinner or bringing in take out and they still have gift cards for restaurants. Wedding gifts. They are figuring out how to live together and compromise, etc. Not so easy at their ages, but they are doing it.

Hello Snappy - Good to see you here as you were missed..yes it's very hard to cook for 2 people an try to save money..nice that your dd an sil still have gift cards to use, a BIG HELP !! Yes I just call the Bunny BABY BUNNY, an he comes out from hiding , he is so cute, looks like he has stopped growing for awhile..but he sure eats a lot..Yes we can't wait to see the news paper article..she is happy about it..

cute, great to visit with you. DD and I got out to church today. It was a blessing. It's 101 on our patio, in the shade right now. There is a slight chance of some rain tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath. They are coming between 8-10 to clean the air ducts. Good thing because I probably won't be able to have the AC going. So when it gets really hot in the afternoon, they will be gone.

Baby bunny sounds like a good name to me. Glad he's doing well. DD#1 gets so tired walking her dog in this heat. I told her she needs a doggie treadmill! When she had a house, the dog could run around in the back yard, but where they are now, they don't have those, so walk she must. Hubby goes with her after dark.

I don't know how to put pictures on my computer either, but DD does that for me. I know that MsLomo and others can help you. Maybe one of your grands could also.

I saw a thread here where people are wondering if Joan Rivers collection will be shown on air with just a host or maybe someone else from her company. I am sure the Q has to make a decision about that and it's not easy. I guess her things are still available on line. I don't order from her line, but lots of people do. So sad.

Well, it's time to sign off and get something done. I remember there are towels in the dryer from yesterday. Have to fold them.
