I received a reply that quoted a section of the Standards. I gave a specific example to support my point and after that they stopped replying.
I hope you have more success than I did PD. Good luck.
I hear you and understood the earlier posts about how I am complaining to the people I am complaining about.
If I were you -- I would make copies of those emails and mail them to Mike George's office. If Q is paying for management of message boards -- they need to know how it is going.
All of my years as a mystery shopper I know how it goes. I once wrote a horrible report on a restaurant. The manager argued with it and I had to really dig in my heels and make it stick.
Service is expected in all parts of a business. These boards are a great source of feedback for Q. They can be and should be managed a little better.
PD, after I was blocked I wrote a letter to Mike George detailing my issues with the way the Community was being (mis)handled. I got a phone call from a woman who said she was from the QVC President's Office (I can't remember her name right now, it starts with a "B") and she politely told me that they do not handle Community matters and I needed to email the QVC Social Team if I had any issues.
I hear you -- I think that is a bit of buck passing there -- Q has to "own" this and pay the management team.

me either -- but sitting here griping and not doing anything is not me
I know what you mean.
I think the standards are too broad. Until they make them more explicit, they can just poof whenever and whatever.
and we don't really know why -- that is the problem

You can e-mail me about this issue. I'll get right on it.

I hope more posters who don't like the way the Community is being managed will step up to the plate and complain directly to the Social Team (or at least post on the thread). If only a few speak up nothing is going to change.

YES! ITA! Tell us what they say PD.
There really needs to be some oversight on the Poofing. It is really NOT fair at times and yes they should not be able to just delete something whenever they want to.

I got a response.
The thread was removed because it was taking a political turn.
I still say -- and said to them -- that I wish the offenders posts were removed with the reason posted in place and leave the rest of us alone to converse about the topic.
How is anyone to know why things are gone -- in toto -- unless we are told why??

No surprise. Blame should fall on the posters who make it political.

At least you got a response.
It would have been nice to just remove the offending posts and let the thread continue. I don't understand why the whole thing needed to be removed.
If posts keep getting deleted, it might be a wake up call for those posters to stop posting such things.
