we had them last year, they were in everything. We are on mid atlantic coast.

not too many stink bugs for us yet......maybe the cicadas are eating them? LOL

I am on the eastern shore of maryland near the beaches and we have never had an infestation when other parts of Md did. Has something to do with them not crossing the chesapeake bay i think. Years ago, my Baltimore family said you needed an umbrella to protect yourself when walking outside. Now we have what I call the summer cicadas and I love to listen to them but no infestation...stay on the other side of the bay, yikes.

@sunshine45 ... I'm not far from you ... when I let my dogs out in the morning there is this loud humming sound instead of my sweet birds singing ... I couldn't figure out where my birds went either so I think you're right ... the cicada scared them away !! My dogs bat the dead bugs across my patio ... ugh ... I'm ready for them to be gone !!

Ours began a couple of weeks ago. Very loud, flying everywhere. I was standing on the curb trying to get our mail when one landed on my leg. I jumped and fell off the curb. Thank goodness I landed ok. Insects are not my favorite things so I'll be glad when they're gone.
