@ms traditional  Exactly! We are SO busy sometimes, that we forget to just slowww dowwwn, and pause for peace. Have a great time scouring through your recipes! It is certainly a fun, stress reducer.😊

@SandySparkles yes, we almost have to schedule a slot for "slowing down."    i have recently taken up watching eagles' nest cameras around the country -  a nice way to watch nature and marvel at it -  the ups and the downs.  amazing how much time you can spend quietly watching these beautiful birds.

Re: activity ideas for period of shutdowns

Find and throw out any unfinished craft projects or supplies I might have lurking in the house.

Resist the urge to clean out anything.

Enjoy being home when nobody is coming to the door, I don't have to go grocery shopping, we aren't going out to any event, I don't have to dress up or wear makeup or decide what to wear.

Enjoy the day without golf, football or basketball.

Laundry won't pile up!  I should wear my nightgown all day to save water and detergent and be eco friendly.  Since I have my nightgown on, take a nap.

Re: activity ideas for period of shutdowns

thanks to all for sharing some great ideas -- i see others have been giving thought to how to use this time too.  i can't remember a time when so many options were closed off to us.

may we all stay well!

Two acres of yard work are in my future.  We plan on rebuilding a limestone retaining wall and planting bushes in front of it.  Also replacing 15 boxwood shrubs that line the driveway.  Hope we complete our mission this summer.

Pogo is a lot of fun....

They are in a transition phase moving from Flash games to HTML .... but you can find lots of games to play I suggest the CLASSIC POGO EXPERIENCE version....click the space at the very top of the screen....The newer games are on Early Access....I prefer the classics...

They have favorites like Scrabble, Yahtzee, Monopoly, Boggle, Card games--(Gin, Canasta, Spades, Solitaire games), Hidden Object games, a crossword game, Mahjong games, word games, Sudoku, Word Search, bowling and bingo...Games you can play by yourself, or against robots, or against other people....

There's a free version....you just periodically have a game intermission where you sit through a short ad and then go  back to your game....or you can become a Club Member for $6.99 a month....
