A friend is in Hawaii awaiting her flight home. Her cell phone had this message:

Ballistic missle threat inbound to Hawaii. Seek immediate shelter. This is not a drill. 

She didn't say if there was a mass panic at the airport, just that it took 38 minutes to be corrected.

I was listening to that on CNN.  They were talking to a Representative from Hawaii who said he got in the tub with his children and was praying.  How absolutely terrified everyone must have been!

What can you say? Someone's stupidity is usually what causes an international event....unfreakingbelievable.

At the beginning, several were saying the WORDING is odd. Even if they were testing, the words ‘this is not a drill’ shouldn’t be there.  They are saying those exact words would be typed on a ’as needed’ basis.   Meaning....you only type those words only if they are real.

My eyebrows are definitely raised...my gut says it was hacked (IMO), 

and not a ‘human error’.

Hawaii has some explaining to do -  the feds have already announced an investigation.
