I feel queasy just looking at it.

Yikes-Iām way too unsophisticated to eat that. My stomach just turned over looking at those photos.

Hey I'm all in! I would far rather do this than go to a casino and spend money, go to a girls night out and spend that kind of money on a limo and a bunch of average wine and such, or a thousand other things I could do that people think nothing about--like going to a pro football game for a family.
I like to try something unusual, experience some tastes I've never had before or stay at a fabulous hotel a couple of nights. That's just the sort of thing I enjoy!
I had one of those big clams once. It just seemed to get bigger and bigger as I tried to swallow it! LOL!!!

Fresh raw fish does not taste "fishy" as in kind of stinky. You should never accept fish that smells. Fresh ocean fish is briney and fresh tasting. Nothing like steak, thank God.
I love Uni too. It's very seasonal.
I'm a very adventurous eater. I'd be in heaven sampling small plates of unusual foods.

I don't know if I'd enjoy it because I'd never order it. I doubt it, though.

That meal? No. That was an āexperienceā put together by āthe most expensive restaurant in CAā (which IMO is not a comment on the quality of the food.
Too many restaurants these days go for oddball menus to impress with their oddball-ness and not much else, and then charge a premium price for their weird menu. IMO these are not places where someone who enjoys a good meal goes to eat, these are places people take others to impress that they can afford to pay top dollar for a few bites of food most people would spit out. And I never trust anyone needing to tell me somethingās āgourmetā.
I enjoy good quality ingredients cooked correctly. Sauces made from scratch with care, and ingredients that enhance the dish, not overpower/drown it. Meat, fish, shellfish, fowl, veggies - I want to be able to tell what Iām looking at.
I would happily go to Ruthās Chris steakhouse, or any number of excellent restaurants in Napa, SF or Monterey, and have an appetizer, entreĆ© and side, and dessert, accompanied by alcohol of choice, cocktails or wine. The meal could be close to $600 and I would enjoy myself far more than eating the pictured specialties, most of which had me making faces in my head. Ewww no.

I haven't counted , but I think the no's, might be ahead

The desserts were the only thing off that menu I would eat

Everyone doesn't see things the same way, I am sure the people that posted are sincere, and understand the concept of living very well.
If you don't like something ,it doesn't make your point of view not valid. It's just how you feel about something
