IF I did something like that, I'd follow at a discrete distance to keep an eye on them and make sure everything was okay. If I couldn't do that, then no way.
I know that may seem crazy to some, but I've been down the dementia road with my mom. The loss of normalcy and control was devasatating for her. We did everything we could to allow her to maintain her routine, but she was never, ever unattended or unobserved. But of course, the safety of an infant would be absolutely paramount. As I said above, if I couldn't keep an eye on them, no.

No. I would though go with them on a walk.

Absolutely not. People are crazy. Look at how many kooks post on these boards.

Not in a million years!!!!!! They would have to be escorted by someone responsible, period.

No, I would never allow that situation!!
Having no idea of the mother's age, (thinking she's apparently young).(??)
I hear on TV and read of the _USUAL_ BOYFRIEND situation, though, also: the single mother goes to work, the 'guy' babysits, wants to watch something on television, or sleep. The baby cries, he becomes angry, then the rest is either baby dying at his hands, or 'guy' lying to the ER, saying the baby was injured falling out of bed, et cetra.
Some women have babies like rabbits and become very frustrated.

No way! Just because you can have children, it doesn't mean that you should. There really should be a test for stupidity before you can reproduce.

That is what I would do also.
Also, neither an infant or an elderly person should be outside in frigid, cold weather..

Let's hope no one says yes! I'd happily walk with them.

Did the mother want something disastrous to happen? Yikes. If the baby could only talk!
