interesting that she was found in the back seat of the car..... maybe the cars gas tank will be empty as well and they will find that she committed suicide by letting her car run in the garage with the door shut?

"It is kind of the perfect storm for a mysterious set of circumstance and a challenge because of the extreme degradation of the body," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said in a telephone interview.
The woman has not yet been positively identified, but it is thought she is a person who stopped working in 2008 and had set up all of her bills to be paid automatically from her bank account.
She is also thought to have worked as a contractor in the financial department for a major automobile company.
A neighbor cut her lawn, her mail was sent to the post office and there was no family living nearby, Bouchard said.
"The last withdrawal from her account was in March 2013," he added.
Neighbors said the woman had family in Germany and would be gone for days or weeks at a time. When she was back home, she kept to herself, local broadcaster WXYZ reported.

Her being in the back seat with the key partially in the ignition is also curious.
she had retired.

That was a thought I had, also. Maybe she just laid down in the backseat ... and went.![]()

That's what we thought, too, since the body was discovered in the back seat.
Whatever that turns out to be, just thinking about that isolation is very sad.

That's sad. to die all alone with no one missing her or caring! I cant believe the mail people didn't notice. The way I understand she got her mail at the post office. I know the bills were paid automatically online but still, people get other mail, and it had to be piled up after all those years. Also IMO this is an example of how people don't know their neighbors anymore. Here where we live I only know 1 neighbor. I have tried to be friendly but people in our development are unfriendly. When I lived in the city we all knew each other and checked on each other. Times have changed.

This only points out how in this world we are so less dependent on others anymore that something like this can happen and does all the time. As we become hooked to our smart phones/ computers and other devices, we no longer need to reach out to human beings and everything can be ordered online and done without leaving the house. Since I retired, I pretty much do everything out from the home shopping online. I was working with the public for so many years that I love the fact that I do not have to interact with them anymore and at this point enjoy the peace and quiet I can have with just being home. Will that change...???.... I do not think so as I found the public to be so rude in general that I only put up with them and their bull for the paycheck. I would rather work in the garden, exercise and do my yoga than hear customer complaints!
I guess what I am saying is in today's world it is really very easy to disappear and not be missed.
