Why the heels??

Just venting here....I just can't understand why QVC features models wearing heels when they model summer length pants, ie., crops, pedal pushers, etc. Don't they realize that in the "real world", women wear comfortable, FLAT shoes such as flip flops, sandals, etc. I especially see this with Susan Graver and Kim Gravel. I guess everyone wears heels to portray a slimming, longer illusion. It's just not realistic.

sometimes I think it is shoes they are or have featured either previously in the day or will later in the day.

Honestly i don't even notice what kind of shoes they are wearing.

You said it. It’s because heels are elongating and flats make you look stumpier.

@retired10 Heels are worn to make the clothing look better. Drape better, look like a more attractive length.

Nothing about realism, all about selling.

@Miss Pepsi You are right. Watch a shoe show and sure enough the next show about clothes will have models wearing the shoes from the previous shoe show.

The hosts often point that the models are "also wearing such and such shoes" that we saw in a shoe show earlier.

No big deal.

Why generalize either way? No, not everyone wears flats. I do not own a pair. Not comfortable for me. To be honest, I do not care what shoes the models wear.

I never wear heels unless I am going somewhere I have to dress up. It would be nice if they would show the pants with both flats and heels.

I think that hels w/jeans and some other type slacks look ugly.

In the "real world" people wear all kinds of different shoes. Not everyone in the "real world" wears flats all the time. Not everyone can or does wear flip-flops.
