No, not really A girl has to make a living and there are the connections.

This idea sounds like a smart move!
In the past I have known people who have done this successfully.

They probably made them an offer they couldn't refuse.

1. They've demonstrated the necessary skills many times
2. Viewers recognize them and probably have trust in them
3. They're familiar with the studio, cameras, production staff, etc. so no training needed.

I get it, these previous hosts may want a part time job, viewers know them and they are familiar with the process, but as you said, credibility is lost. When I saw Judy selling the Hairmax I too thought that was very strange. To see two QVC hosts on the screen, even if one is no longer employed full time, is very odd to me. The previous hosts don't add any value. The current QVC hosts can easily talk about the product. I know having a brand ambassador is not new, but having a former QVC host as an ambassador is not necessary.

I wish Dan Hughes would come back. He would be perfect to represent Bethlehem Lights. I miss him.....

Remember Jeanne Brice? She was quite a card. I wish she could come back, but she's been in heaven since 2011.

Remember Q host, Margeaux St Ledger, saw her yesterday on HSN repping one of their linen brands. She also has a high end floral arranging biz in the Philly area now.

Never bothered me. I assume it's a normal segue' these hosts know is open to them, once they wish to either semi-retire, or recreate a different lifestyle at a certain time of life, or due to family obligations, that isn't tied to their former structured, random host schedule.
It's another opportunity, I believe they all know about being open to them when that time comes, and makes perfect sense.
At the end of the day these are jobs within the retail world...and within that world, repping products instead of day to day sales is a common segue'.
Good for them. I'm betting they love the more flexible schedule that allows them to do other things too, which is kind of the way of the work world these days..."gig jobs."
