Re: When you post about the weather -

As an aside that has nothing to do with weather, knowing where a person is from, makes her much more interesting to me since I've traveled widely in the US.  I'm constantly relating things that have been said here to my family and friends.  Since I don't know your names, you become my friend from Colorado Springs, my friend from Durango, my friend from Nova Scotia, my friend around Maine, etc.,  etc.  I've probably done this 3-4 times in the past week.

Yep.  I've had 2 long term cyber besties.  One started on the old very active old HSN board.  The other was when a group of forums called "delphi" was hugely popular before facebook.  One is from TN and the other from MO.  Sometimes I forget we haven't actually really met in person!

@SoX

And I always remember you as the gal from Chicagoland, because that's where my DS and DDIL live! They're big White Sox fans.😉

FYI............get a weather app for the details you are looking for.

Or, use the Weather Channel.

Re: When you post about the weather -

I think I've posted enough personal info on this board that someone could get pretty close to the general vicinity of where I live, but of course not exact. Most people end up lost who come here anway, so I don't think I have anything to worry about.

I'm in northwest Arkansas.

@Kachina624   From reading your posts about the southwest from time to time I have truly enjoyed learning about a part of the country I have never visited.  I live in central NJ where it's becoming crisp and quite cool lately as you would expect in November.  It's hard to keep up yard cleaning with the falling leaves lately! I had no idea it snowed in Albuquerque!  I'm sure we will be getting our share of winter weather up here in the northeast soon.
