@nova. People typically think Albuquerque is like Phoenix, very hot and dry. But we're the same altitude as Denver, a mile high, but don't have the extremes of either Phoenix or Denver. We have 4 distinct seasons, and it can get very cold, although most winter days are in the 50s. We always get a little snow which is usually gone by noon, several times a winter. It is very dry and is classified as "high desert". The 10,300ft Sandia Mts. are on the East side of the city, where we have our own ski area which is accessed either by road or a spectacular tram. The sun shines most winter days. Lots of interesting things to see and do here. Come visit!

As @goldensrbest stated, if you are scared of posting the location of the weather in your area maybe you shouldn't be on the internet.

ITA! I don't understand the fear posting about the weather in one's area. I mean, especially when you look at all the personal and unnecessary cr*p you see posted on FB everyday!

@Kachina624 Thank you for the information! I just read your post over morning coffee to my husband and he was also intrigued! We both were born & lived in NYC until about 25 years ago when we moved to central NJ. Our shore area in Monmouth County NJ is gorgeous and we are happy we raised our children in this area. Our families are still in NYC so we have strong ties to the area. We both finally retired within the last year & look forward to travelling & seeing our great country in the future. And it is nice to ge the inside scoop on such a beautiful part of the USA!
