@hckynutjohn Have a great Thanksgiving with your furry kids.  We adopted a new one last December who is keeping us on our toes!

Wishing you the same. We adopted a Calico kitten a few weeks ago, think she is about 11 weeks old now. Will be adopting another Orange Tabby in about 10 days. He will be about the same age as our Calico. Both are rescues from our State Humane Society.

Been a few years since we've had kittens, and easy to forget how quick those little things can move.

Enjoy tomorrow now,

There are just three of us, but we make lots of food so that we can reheat plates of Thanksgiving goodies for several days after the holiday. We do pretty much the same menu (and use the same recipes) each year—grilled turkey, sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, lots of gravy (I makes turkey stock a few days before Thanksgiving from which I make gravy, since we don't have pan drippings from the grilled turkey), mashed sweet potatoes, garlic green beans, and homemade cranberry sauce. We will have homemade cheesecake for dessert, since it's something we all like, and I may make a pumpkin pie for myself after Thursday to go with the leftovers. Honestly, it's my favorite meal of the year, and I live for the leftovers!

Re: What's For Dinner?

[ Edited ]

My family is small and they will be in another state. We are getting together with 10 others in the same situation. Everyone is bringing something. My responsibility is to bring the hors d'oeuvres and dinner rolls. Easy!

Everyone have a safe and beautiful Thanksgiving!

We had our Thanksgiving Dinner the weekend before last. Today I'm making a pot of Southwest Chicken Tortilla soup and will decorate. I'm actually looking forward to a quiet day. Tomorrow I will pick up my mom and go out for Mexican.
