It's a small group this year and since I ordered the turkey and ham for Christmas and New Year, we are being somewhat untraditional. I'm fixing pork tenderloins and dressing, acorn squash, green beans with mushrooms, and pumpkin pie.

@gertrudecloset

Just getting over a sinus infection myself.   Hope you feel better soon.

Full turkey dinner here just for the two of us.  Lots of leftovers which is a good thing.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Traditional Turkey day meal with 20 adults and 10 small children (all under 7). Thank goodness the weather is supposed to be sunny and mild tomorrow so I can send them all outdoors to play - adults too. Smiley Happy

I do most of the meal cooking and have my dils bring over side dishes and light appetizers. All my pie baking is done. Dressing is made. Cranberry relish is made. Will bake off fresh rolls tomorrow morning. Tomorrow I will roast the turkey, make the mashed potatoes and gravy. I used to make more of a production, but mostly my family just wants the turkey, stuffing and gravy.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

I'm having 8 to 12 for dinner. My niece "might" come and my younger daughter and her family will come if her husband feels well enough. He's been battling a wicked cold for about a week and is feeling a little better but weak.  I'm not having a traditional turkey dinner. I'm cooking a variety of things that everyone requested. I have a spiral cut ham and I'm going to roast a big chicken. My older daughter is making a pan of her stuffed shells. My BFF is bringing a salad platter and garlic bread.  I'm making roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables.  I bought apple pies and sweet potato pies from the bakery and some sugar cookies.  It's going to buffet style.

Hello @gertrudecloset I will be cooking for my household of 3, my husband, my son and myself. We will have a small turkey breast, mashed potatoes, sweet peas, cranberry sauce, and pie.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

It is just DH and I.

We buy a boneless, skinless Costco Kirkland brand Turkey breast. It is pre Cooked...we reheat it in the oven. It is very good!

DH fixes himself stuffing, and mashed potatoes and gravy.... I do not eat that....  we cook  for both of us some Brussels sprouts and green beans.  I just have the vegetables and the Turkey...DH eats everything.  It is good though.

@SeaMaiden Costco sells premade mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes now.  Are you talking about the turkey breast in a smallish plastic wrapping?

Just DH and me...we like it that way after a number of years hosting his family--sometimes as many as 25 people. Fun, and everybody helped with cooking/cleanup, but still exhausting!

Our turkey is in the oven now. I will make giblet gravy later this evening. Pies (1 apple, 1 pumpkin) will go in the oven in the morning, and we will also have cornbread dressing with sausage, as well as green bean casserole.

I've posted before that I "cheat" the dressing (Stovetop) and the gravy (Heinz Roasted Turkey), but add things like the sausage & giblets along with a bit of turkey drippings and some of the water from the giblets. My pies are Mrs. Smith's.

We enjoy every bite!

Yes, yes and yes! We had our Thanksgiving today (Wednesday) with guests. Tomorrow, we have a 9am church service. One of our relatives will arrive at our house at 11am and asked to stay overnight. We'll all drive together to the home of another relative for a Thanksgiving meal.
