LOL! They would probably still be telling us buy more for our families and friends. ![]()

@maryebrown wrote:I would turn off the Q if they started selling pharmaceuticals. They have NO business selling DRUGS - heck the pharma's have ENOUGH problems with their drugs ("approved" by the FDA) and (cough cough) then The Lawsuits begin within 2 to 3 years....
The OP's post was tongue in cheek.

I always figured if your doctor told you to take a drug he's doing doctoring....if YOU tell him what drug YOU want, he's a drug dealer. I think all advertising of drugs should be stopped. War on drugs? Drugs won. And big drug co's won BIG time.

It actually says that!!
The first time I saw this commercial it was later at night on a Saturday and I happened to be watching SNL. I thought it was one of their skits at first.
Hah! If only . . .

I'm a little surprised by the comments here indicating advertising new medicines on TV is a bad thing ...
What if you had a family member struggling with a chronic problem and, suddenly, a new med came to market that could help them manage this illness .... wouldn't you want to at least KNOW about this?
Whether or not this was appropriate for them is one thing ..... but shouldn't all possibilities be researched and considered?
Don't we all want to make informed decisions?

I'd rather see them using the millions on research and cures.

******************************************************************************************** Sorry, but that is incorrect. The commercial does not name the drug. In fact, the condition Danny Glover is talking about, IS a brain condition. The condition is called PBA (look it up) and the treatment is Neudexta (treats people with certain brain conditions). I actually DID the research before posting totally incorrect information.
P.S. Correct me if I'm wrong please. The worst side effects of this drug are dizziness, diarrhea, nausea, etc ..... Nowhere did I see anything about a "usually fatal" brain condition.
