The holidays can be stressful but it's time for family and I really enjoy when my two children are here and the four of us are all together at the same time, it's rare that we are all together, so that makes it special, holiday or not.  I don't bake as much and I cook and freeze what I can to make it less stressful and I still put up a tree put don't decorate the inside or the outside of the house as much as before.  Less is more and that's a good thing sometimes!

My heart goes out to those who are alone and don't have friends or family during the holidays.  I do feel blessed to have my family and friends.

I hate everything about the holidays except for family time on Christmas Eve and Christmas Eve Mass.  I hate decorating, Christmas movies/shows, shopping, watching Q, and all of it.  I happily skip Black Friday through New Years Eve.

To be honest, having to be around some relatives that are toxic people.  I love everything else about Christmas.

One of my best friends, she and her family (she lives with her mother and step-father and 2 toy poodles due to a visual disability) leave their 4 trees up all year. They just light them during Christmastime. She is very proud of their trees, each with a different theme. Makes sense to me to leave them up year-round--less work putting up, taking down.

why i hate holiday's.

talk about the problems the kids were having in school. i was the problem child in school. my 2 older sisters were the belle of the ball kids,they did no wrong, got excellent grades. I was always compared to my sisters and how stupid i was and just an all around failure.

when I got married and had to work thru many manymany years of never having my husband home for the holidays. His job required him to be out of the country for many years over every holiday season.  I would cry myself to sleep every  xmas eve because it was so miserable being alone year after year after year. I just began to think of the holidays as just another day and to this day, that is my thought. it is just another day.

First is my son not being here, my husband ,and all other family members, i find the holidays really ,really tough.
