Not true.  Threads with barely any replies, but all civil are poofed because they are controversial topics.  And then some threads are controversial but only the less-than-polite replies are deleted.  It's not consistent moderation.

I"m not so sure I agree with you . It looks like a lot of posts have been removed. I just question why  "some" current event threads are allowed, with negative posts removed..........and others are deleted immediately.

It's true, even if some don't see it's all about civility.

No, it's not all about civility.  I've seen threads with no responses at all deleted with the note that the topic is controversial.

Perhaps the mods see there is a concerted effort by a few posters to have this thread deleted?

Well  given the posts that have been removed for not beig civil. I would have to disagree with you here.

It's not uneven moderation. It "uneven" (if you must) commentary. As long as people continue to push the envelope as to just what they can "sneak in" to a conversation, and as long as people take the bait, posts will be deleted. People deliberately trying to get threads deleted was routine on the old forums. People are going to keep trying here. The way to keep threads viable is to not respond to the baiting and to report it.

I hope you're not talking about me.  I don't want it deleted.
