On one hand we are told we can only celebrate the decision today....yet when I mentioned starting a thread for those who are disppointed I am told... it is permissable to post an opposing view. Can't go two ways...fair is fair. We are in real trouble when we can not have a dessenting opinion.

So now it is OK for fellow posters to dictate what another poster can post on a thread?

Good night Irsh.

Too many here think they have the RIGHT to dictate what others can post and that they can control the boards. That's NOT going to happen.

Just want to make sure of the new rules...posters can accuse others of deliberately trying to have a thread pulled for a differing opinion...told only one view is acceptable...but told if I or someone else posts a thread of differing opinion... they will be able to post THEIR opinion if it is different correct?

Maybe Britanny can explain the rules to you in a manner you can understand.

Don't talk to her in a condescening manner. You know she understands what Britanny posted but it makes no sense when one is open for debate and the other is not. This board has been about lively debate and I have no problem blocking someone who is completely out of control but this isn't the case here. I mean perhaps you are that obtuse and will only understand when the same thing happens to a thread you wish to offer a differing opinion on and aren't allowed yet you also aren't allowed to open one of your own because that one is completely open for debate.

GREAT POST! ITA with everything you posted re this matter.

I don't happen to agree with Croemer on THIS issue. That doesn't mean that I don't believe that she shouldn't have the right to give HER opinion. Democracy. Nope.

I saw one of the most striking photos last night, a home bathed in the glow of rainbow lights. It was beautiful.

I'm still excited for all of those who have married-that their marriage will be recognized in all of our states, as it should be. I am excited for those who can now marry in their home state. I am excited and happy for those families who can now wake up knowing they are a family in all of this country, not merely in parts of it.

I have refrained from voicing my opinion on the SCOTUS decision, but have been reading the threads.  I will say that the bile displayed by a few of the celebrators, and one in particular, has been extraordinary.

The moderating of this discussion throughout the forums has been inconsistent in most and one-sided in some instances.   QVC Moderators, for the sake of inclusion for all <tic>, it is time to either shut down all the threads or none of them.

Strive for respect instead of attention. It lasts longer.
