Usually the weather here in VA isn't this hot until late July or August, so we have had an unusual hot spell for several days now.

93 degrees with high humidity in RI.   We are also under a weather alert for strong thunderstorms later this afternoon and into the night.  Once the cold front comes through we are getting much drier, cooler air the rest of the week into the weekend.

As Desertdi's siggy suggests it feels like "surface of the sun."  We're expecting some serious storms tonight which hopefully will crack the heat. Its around 99 degrees right now.
