Re: What Is Wrong With People Vol 2

There are people who are just mean-spirited; for whatever reason. They love to do things that are just cruel. To many, animals are just....around. They hold no purpose other than for food and well, who cares? Be it those who leave their "pets" outside in horrific weather conditions, those that run through a Mama Goose and her goslings as they cross the road, those that throw and slam animal carriers with the animals in them on and off flights- they and most see animals as nothings.

I'm sure these lovely individuals are %$*# in other aspects of their lives as well....and saw this behavior growing up. At least, that's been my experience.

Re: What Is Wrong With People Vol 2

I have a sister who is a hero for dogs!   She "rescues" ones she sees in shelters, as well as ones she sees on the country road where she lives.  She will do without food for herself in order to feed dogs!   Since she was a teen, she has had 2 to 4  "inside" dogs, along with 6  to 15 "outside dogs" at all times !!  If she finds out they need a home, she will shelter them, love them, feed them, take them to the Vet, until she can put them in a forever home.  I've never seen anyone who loves animals as much as she does.  Not many have ever died in her care.

She has asked that when she passes away, that whatever animals are at her home at the time, that they be treated well and given to good homes!!  To read any story of anyone being unkind to animals just drives her (and me) crazy!   Please everyone, take care of the ones who cannot care for themselves.  They love us unconditionally, so let's love them unconditionally as well !

There are sick people in the world, you have to be to do the things that were mentioned. When my husband taught highschool math he mentioned there were kids who damaged or destroyed school property without giving their actions a second thought. I think some people are angry about their situation, they need a release and destruction seems to be it. My husband taught in a small rural school district and some of the kids really have it tough.

Here in my area a person tried to cut a cat's tail and the cat's ears. It was just terrible but thank goodness the car was saved and received treatment from the animal shelter.

@Moonchilde  I felt bad about the bees. They are so important to our eco system.

They have been under threat for a while from a virus or something.  I hope they get the people who did this. Without bees we would be dead, because we would have no food

It’s nearly always about those who are or feel powerless in their life and have to control or destroy something (anything) weaker or more helpless than they are. It’s a “getting back” anger AFAIC, but any given act may have no recognizable correlation with what the person feels powerless about.

And this is a rural area, @cherry. Rural enough that the man and his bees weren’t encroaching on anything or anyone, or stinging anyone - no complaints were made by neighbors. So...WHY?  Just worthless, brainless a**es.

@Moonchilde

There was an animal abuse case here awhile back, and a judge came out and said that these cases are more than "animal abuse" they reflect the mental state and character of the person.  And if they do this to an animal, studies show there will be abuse or violence to a person in their future....She went on to say that these cases shouldnt be taken lightly...........

“Animal abuse is one of the four indicators that the F.B.I. profilers use to asses future violent behavior.,child or domestic abuse.

Frank R. Ascione, a professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work who has extensively studied the topic, said, “The research is pretty clear that there are connections between animal abuse and domestic violence and child abuse.”

One study found that in 88 percent of homes where children were physically abused, pets were mistreated too. A 2007 study found that women abused by their intimate partner were 10 times more likely to report that their partner had hurt or killed one or more of their pets than women who were not abused.

Professor Ascione, who also advises law enforcement officials in abuse cases, said that cross-reporting requirements helped foster early intervention.

In several recent cases, he said, children hinted at animal abuse to teachers who alerted animal protection agencies. Those workers spotted warning signs of other types of abuse, and child welfare workers intervened only to find that the children themselves were being abused.

“Often children are not willing to talk about what is happening to them, but they will talk about their concerns about what they are seeing done to their pets,” Professor Ascione said.

States have grown increasingly intolerant of animal abuse over the years."

And if I may add--- it shows a cold hearted and evil person!!!!

There has to be a special place in hell for those that abuse children, the elderly, and animals........

Animals are reliable, full of love, true in their affections, grateful. Difficult standards for people to live up to.”
