Your kitchen sounds nice; I love Tuscan style (post #80). Our walls are yellow "washed" now; however, I may consider trying orange/sand color wash in future. I think I'd like that combination.

I have a friend who does art work on walls. She paid her way through college doing wall art work and painting and is now in high demand. I plan to hire her to do Tuscan art work in a large (i.e., perhaps 16 x 20 if not larger) frame for my kitchen. She's done work in our dining room and it's a real conversation piece.

Anika ~ Almost our entire house is a soft butter yellow. It is so bright, yet calming. I didn't pick any of the colors, however, the previous owner knew how to decorate and spared no expense. There is a French influence on our second floor that I love too. I think it is such a gift to be able to paint and decorate well.

Just had new kitchen cabinets installed last summer ... white oak. Counter top is a beige laminate, which I'm going to get rid of in favor of granite or quartz. I like the color of JustJazzMom's (Kona Beige), but will probably opt for more of a black background with tan flecks.

All of my appliances are stainless steel ... new fridge and stove (stove has a black top). I'll be painting the walls this spring ... can't decide on color (suggestions are welcomed). Flooring is sandstone tile.

Open concept home - so the LR , DR , hallway and entrances and kitchen are all killian beige with white trim and white plantation shutters on the windows. Cream with touches of gold ceramic tile in the entry ways and the kitchen and beige carpet in LR & DR.My kitchen counters are a beige laminate that looks like marble and the backsplash are 1" tiles in shades ranging from cream to dark expresso brown to a copper color metallic occasionally. Cabinets are a medium brown maple.So basically a very neutral colored area. our builder offered "packages" of colors you could chose if you wanted to and everything was chosen by their designer. I went with the beige package because I knew that they would not make any mistakes in their choices as I may have.I really love my color. Also available were ivory , green or blue packages or you could just make all your own choices. The ivory package is really beautiful - the entire house is all neutral ivory shades - but a lot of variations of that color. It is very pretty and very feminine. My DH would not let me pick it - too "girly"and he hated it.

I have white cabinets, black with some really dark navy blue color imbedded in the granite counter tops. Stainless steel appliances. Walls are painted a creamy eggshell color. Black bar stools at the island. I need some ideas for a black splash and I'm open for suggestions.
