Going to read one of my own books Kathleen Gilles Seidel's Keep Your Mouth Shut and Wear Beige.
That's what I was told to do when I was the mother of the bride, lol. I thought the girl who said it made it up.

The plot of the book is a wedding and the main character is woman is the mil of the bride. I guess the m.o.b. tells her to wear that. Just started the book.

I just finished a very good new book that I will recommend. It is Rapture of the Deep by David Grindberg, available on Amazon for kindle. It is the first novel by this Iowa author and is very well done. It starts with a woman being told about the disappearance and probable death of her husband. From that point on, no one is who he or she appears to be. The story is one of crime, secrets, disloyalty, and relationships that are crumbling. The author uses poetry, metaphors, and symbolism in light, dark, water, and fire to richly describe thoughts and feelings.
I am going to recommend this one for my book club to read this year. I reviewed this on amazon.com, too.

I read The Execution of Noa P. Singleton by Elizabeth L. Silver. I did enjoy it-it was an interesting character study.

I'm looking forward to reading that. I am currently reading an alternate history/fantasy called The Mirage. I just started it but I'm finding it to be fun reading......

Finished Shut Up And Wear Beige by Kathleen Gilles Seidel . It was fast and humorous in places.
Going to read Amy Tan's Valley of Amazement. It's over 900 pages in l.p. Hopefully I'll enjoy it enough so it'll go by fast and not be a slow plot.

I am still reading The Book Thief. I am really enjoying it but it is longer that I expected. Maybe I'm not reading as much because I usually tend to only read at night, and I end up falling asleep. I really want to see how all these characters end up in the end.
