Yeah anywhere from 3 to 6 inches forecasted here in SE MD.  But the bitter cold makes ice out of slush so...glad I only live 6 miles from work because I'm essential personnel so there's that ❄️☃️

They have no idea what we might get in my part of NY. Seems like we might be right on the northern edge of this thing so it's totally up in the air. Supposed to be insanely cold no matter what. I was just thinking the other day that we hadn't had a really bad storm in 10 years when we got like two feet. So bad it messed up my jury duty schedule LOL.

NYC had a bitterly cold day today - a "feels like" single digit - and we are expecting a weekend of the same, with possible snow and ice to mix it up.  I actually like the winter but this was painful.  It sounds like this polar vortex has a long reach.  I hope everyone stays reasonably warm and safe.

There have been lots and lots of accidents reported up here too.  Icy roads and terrible visibility resulted in a 100+ vehicle pileup near Zeeland, Michigan.  We're traveling this weekend.  Roads should be ok and we will avoid snow but it's going to be pretty cold.

@JeanLouiseFinch.  Your huge multi vehicle accident has been all over our news.

If it's not sports, chances are it's one of the weather channels on our TV.

Since DS moved south we're always checking the weather there. Thinking of you @shoesnbags!

I went to buy eggs this afternoon because we were out. The young man who checked me out said I was lucky to get them now because in a few days there will be a run on them. I had never thought about that!

It looks like it will be bad, wherever it goes. I heard we won't know much until Friday. We will just have to be ready.
