No! I hope I didn't jinx us by reading this. I'm bummed out that we have had some cold, wet weekends. I hate that because it ruled out the fun things we like to do at this time of the year. No fall folliage yet either but snow is not in the forecast.

No snow in Pennsylvania. It was almost 90 degrees this week. Yesterday, we woke up to 57 degrees. It's supposed to hover between 60 and 70 this coming week.
Our trees still have no fall color. Some leaves are shedding while still green. It's been a crazy fall season so far.l

@just bee I wondered if you saw the bees yesterday. I, too, did not see them fly. I watch the fiesta every morning on TV lying in bed. I'm going to miss it.
Joelly went up this morning and so did Airabelle! I'm hoping for cooperative weather for tonight's events and tomorrow morning's farewell ascension.
I'll miss it, too. I still don't understand how anyone could dislike it.

I live in WI and no snow in the forecast for anywhere in the near future. Better you than me as we’ll have more than our share in no time. Enjoy!

@Kachina624 No, no snow for us thank goodness! We are having an Indian summer here in the Seattle area with upper 60's and even 70 predicted by next Thursday of next week. I am thankful for the good weather as we are in the very middle of putting new siding on our home and The good weather is really helping the project move along nicely.

The Wolf Creek Ski Area in SW Colorado opened today. They usually have the heaviest annual snowfall of all the Colirado ski areas.

@BirkiLady wrote:@Kachina624 A brine made from beets has been developed which works much better than the old salt spread formerly used. It doesn't ruin the streets or vehicles (anyway not nearly as quickly) and doesn't leave that ugly white film all over everything. It goes on clear and the City is able to apply it days in advance of a snowfall, which saves on overtime for the Roads Dept. All in all, it's been a win-win for our community for several years.
@I believe the University of Nebraska (Agriculture Campus @ Lincoln) developed the brine many years ago. It should be available nationally by now.
@BirkiLady Interesting to hear about the beet brine. In WI here a cheese brine is used/sprayed on the streets. (Which not surprising we’d use cheese here in WI. Lol)

Had our first hard freeze last night here in central Wisconsin. Seems like it was hot and humid two weeks ago. This is the weekend of peak fall colors.
