I will never understand why someone will wear pajama pants in public in the middle of the day (unless you are an infant or toddler).  My kids will loudly say "why is that person wearing pajamas in public"  I can't even tell them they shouldn't say it so loud because I agree.  I just hope that person hears so they think about what they are wearing next time.  Every time we walk into Walmart my daughter mentions that we always see someone in their pajamas.

@mimomof4  Wow.  Nothing like shaming people because YOU have it all sewn up as to what people should wear in public.

And raising rude children to boot.

You know-someday that rudeness is going to bite all of you big time-and when you and your kids get knocked off your high horses don't come crying here.

How cruel and insensitive.

Re: Wear these Pajamas Anywhere

I must be living in a box, because I haven't seen many shoppers wearing pj's for a couple of years, and then it was mostly teens doing it. Some of the things that Carol Hochman sells (IMO) aren't pajamas but more like lounge wear. The soft flowing pants are similar to many of the wide-leg or palozzo pants that are sold everywhere. And her sleeveless tops with long jackets just don't look like the cotton pajamas my mother used to wear to bed! True pajamas, robes and slippers have no place outside the house, but if I saw a woman in a Carol Hochman lounge set, I'd probably think that's exactly what it is - a nice lounge set - but wouldn't be offended by it.

Exactly......  I have lost a lot of weight and all of my CH 3 piece sets are way too big for me.  Have given them to my neighbor across the hall.  She is really loving them.  The jackets are up to date in style, and do make a cute out fit.  I wish I could afford to buy some of them now.  Will wait until some of the new fall items come in before I buy anything in that line.  Have always like CH.....Got introduced to her items when I worked at Dillard's quite a few years ago....and liked them then.

Yes, you could.  I think it comes under the general category of having manners.

What they wear is really none of your (or their) business.

How would you like it if someone said loudly something about you that they found unappealing while you were out shopping?

Even better if the lost and found items didn't fit very well.....it was wear them or we call their parents...they always choose to wear lost and found stuff

If I am at a store and I see anyone over the age of 4 in pajamas, it is just pure laziness...of the parent or the adult who is wearing them. Were they raised that way?

Re: Wear these Pajamas Anywhere

One of my DDs worked for a major airline for many years. She said people who arrived for a flight nicely dressed always got moved up in line , etc before anyone who showed up in their pjs. You don't have to "dress up" in order to look presentable in public....but going out in your pajamas shows a lack of self-respect. Sort of sad IMO.

Re: Wear these Pajamas Anywhere

My grandma wouldn't leave the house without full makeup and her hair fixed, even if she was too frail to wear anything other than her gown and housecoat. What I see today just looks slovenly.
