I took today off from work. I originally was going to go up to Los Angeles, but I changed my mind. I decided to still take the day off. (smile) 

We are remodeling our office at work, and we actually get to work from home for the next two weeks. (Yipee)

Next week, I m actually on vacation again. Going to SC to visit with my niece. It's going to be a family affair. My brother, SIL, and Nephew will also be flying up. 

I did too much yesterday around the office, trying to finish packing up for the remodel, so my back is bothering me again. I might have to use the lidocaine patch.

I have a delivery at Staples that I might pick up today. Other than that I plan on taking it easy all day.

I am staying in the home today. I have a bunch of little items to take care of. I need to do laundry, strip my bed, and change the sheets. Pack for my trip in a couple of days, and detangle and wash my hair. I have a hair appointment this evening at 6.

We were up early. Walked, showered and headed to town. Five quick stops (hardware store, grocery store, post office, library and a fast food breakfast carryout). It's warming up again - Sunday will be in the 90's. We've got major league baseball to keep us occupied until bed time.

Had mail to get out, enjoyed a nice visit with both daughters, and my neighbor showed up to change out 2 light fixtures for me.  

My family has been under a lot of stress this week as a dear one was intubated and placed on a ventilator.  She has made a tiny bit of progress; far from being out of the woods, but we continue to pray for her healing and full recovery.

Friday night DH had an episode after hours. I called the 24/7 agency and the answering service woman was so sweet. One of the RNs called back in minutes and talked DH out of his episode. This RN has been here. Another RN will be coming here twice a week for blood pressure etc. and stay on the medications.
They took over all his meds and they are delivered here so I don't have to run out anymore. They contacted all his doctors.

The memory test I will cancel. The head RN said we know what this is and DH is slipping rapidly into dementia so spending more money and time is not needed. He sleeps most of the time and his appetite is diminishing too.

There is a head doctor there who consults and advises.

The next step is a group home dedicated to people like DH. The agency will make all the setup and still handle meds etc. so all I have to do is visit.

They even handle death issues so all I need to do is select from a list of cremation places. The agency would come to where DH is and arrange death certificate and transport and all.

Hard but necessary conversations but they will be a tremendous help.
So the social worker was here yesterday and will be working on the group home.
There is even a chaplain and he said to call anytime for anything to talk and
doesn't have to be religious.

Still have to deal with my surgeries but they will have to wait.

So I wanted to update because I don't think I will be around much .

Please know I sincerely appreciate all the support through the years on this thread and I hope I gave back too.

May you all find comfort during troubling times and may you always have peaceful days and hope whenever times seem so dark.

You can do this because you give to others and you gain that strength right back.

did a new route for morn. walk, I think this route was a full mile one way. so I do believe i got a 3 mile walk in this morning 

it is hot out-but humidity is lower.
