@BalletBabe    Unless this person was from the executive suite in Arkansas, I don't know how he could possibly know what Walmart's hours will be 10 years from now.

@Kachina624   They work there.  I don't think anyone knows what will be going on in 10 years from now.  Seriously , there may not be a Walmart in 10 years.  They right now are only open till 8:30.  I don't need them open all night,  but it would be nice to be open at least till 11:00.  When the Snow Birds are here , I shop later,  because I can't deal with all the scooters and blocking of isles. I like to get what I need and get out.  I am doing most things from Amazon now, but I refuse to sit in my house and not go out.  I also will not stay away from my Family.  Life is too short and they won't rob me of that time.

@BalletBabe  Why would you have to sit in your house and not see your family? And what does Walmart have to do with it? I am confused.

@proudlyfromNJ  Someone on here said they won't go to stores anymore.  Meaning they will never go to a store again.   People need to get out.  It is not healthy to be in the house all the time.  The family thing has nothing to do with Walmart.  I just threw that in, because I believe some are taking this too far.  Such as :  The people driving in their cars alone with a mask on?  People not seeing their Family, and now people are afraid to go into a store.  The fear is going to kill them before the virus.

@BalletBabe  Oh. Our state has been in phase four for awhile, meaning almost everything is open. So no reason for us to stay home. Even in the beginning we were not told to stay home, just no congregating with lots of people. We were encouraged to get out, walk, exercise, etc. our town is hopping on the weekends with outdoor dining, but they all wear masks when not eating. Store parking lots are pretty full.

@proudlyfromNJ   That is good.  Pretty much the same here.  Florida is getting really bad, but that don't stop me from leaving.  I still walk and shop.  Yes, I wear a mask even though I don't agree with it, but I do what I have to.  I do not get close to people and stay away from groups.  That is all we can do, but I also stopped turning the news on first thing.  I think the news will drive you nuts in time if you let it.   LOL

@BalletBabe  The only news I ever watch is the local six o'clock news then world news . One hour total. Our friend went to Florida for St. Patrick's day in March as we had just closed bars up here. Since bars in Fla. we're open, he enjoyed himself but came home with the virus. I think he was sick for a week or so but recovered.

@BalletBabe, when most people say that they won't go to a store, it's likely that they mean until this crisis is over. It doesn't mean that they prefer never to leave their house.

Some of us live in areas that have a major Covid problem; plus, we are in a risk group.

Other than my weekly quick trip to TJ's (which does a perfect job of keeping its customers safe), we limit our excursions to walking the dog and occasionally driving to our daughter's house to wave at everybody.

@Miss Pepsi   I prefer to order things online also. I almost always order enough to get free postage (except at QVC). Even before this virus happened I hated to have to park the car and go into a store.

Were you referring to me as saying I don’t plan to go into stores again? That is correct, because, if I can order and pickup my things it saves me time and money. Even if/when the COVID-19 situation passes, I’ll continue to shop this way. It makes shopping so much easier and faster. I love it! I only regret I didn’t think to try grocery pickup options before this year. Shopping is a necessary task, not how I socialize and enjoy life.

I think you are confusing people taking recommended safety measures with irrational fear.

@willdob3, I had responded to her saying that most people mean that won't shop in store until this is all over.

But yes, I totally understand remaining with pick-up or delivery. Personally, I do prefer to shop in store because I feel that I have more control, but that's just me, a bit of control freak. :-)

No one should put down someone's choice about something like this.
