Calling her a self made woman is a far stretch at best. She spent a lot of the Q's money traveling abroad. She got close to vendors who later kept her ego going.
The run of the mill, overpriced merchandise she sells can be found anywhere at better prices. I'm sure her fans are willing to fund her travels abroad and cruises just by spend tons of money for ordinary merchandise just to say she sold it to them. To each their own🤷🏼‍♀️
No jealousy here just common sense

@summergal1  So if she herself didn't make the money to buy her new home, who did?

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

Re: Video LR estate

It's a beautiful property to be sure! However, the initial cash layout would only be the beginning. You would have to hire a crew of maintenance workers just for upkeep of the grounds, the barn, the buildings, the pool, etc. The roof alone looked like it needed replacing in the video--I can't even imagine what the cost of that would be!

It would be too much to worry about. That property is too much for one person to handle, at least it would be for me. But it's fun to dream!

Lisa has always down played her gorgeous new farmhouse. Why? She worked hard and made a lot of money and absolutely deserves the American dream is a self made women. I suspect people get jealous and then don't buy.  Now bragging is different but I never saw her do that. It was never a fixer upper. It might be remolded to her taste. But yes it seems to be taken down unless I just can't find it tho I have seen it.

I am shocked that this thread is allowed!

This very personal information (with her address) should not be posted on the site of a former employer!!

@Nancy Drew. I think what @summergal1 is saying is that she made a lot of money and contacts by working at QVC. She obviously saved a lot of money and/or made good investments. Good for her. When I think of a “self made” person, I think of someone who started and was successful with their OWN company, not someone who was a well paid employee for years.

I admire what Lisa has achieved for herself. She worked hard, made good decisions for herself & is now enjoying the fruits of her labor. Good for her.

I purchased several of her jewelry items & was very happy. I bought one other item that arrived damaged & her customer service team took care of it immediately.

I'm not a member of Lisa's tribe.I don't go on her trips. But I do admire her business acumen & success.

Doesn't she have her own company now? If profits from her new company afforded her buying this luxurious estate, that makes it self made wealth...

I am just amazed and saddened by the negative comments here. Regardless of how she made her money, at the Q or thru her company, it came from her work ethic and ability to financial plan for the future she wanted for herself. As women, we should at least try to be happy for her achieving her goals instead of picking her apart. I am not a tribe member, not in the travel group, have sparingly purchased a few things but to her success I say heck yes, good for you and may all of us achieve the level of success we set out to accomplish.

@Foxxee Thanks for posting.  Interesting.  Did she buy it on 2019, or did she sell in in 2019?

The price decline is probably because of the changes in federal taxes, the deductibility of local taxes.

Sale to Lisa went through in 2019.  Regarding the price drop, I wonder if it had not been selling. How many are looking for something like this?

Thanks @Foxxee.  It definitely was not selling at the list price, which is the reason it sold at a lower price.  I was speculating as to the reason for the lower price in 2019.  That is the year of the effective date of the new federal law reducing the deductibility of local real estate taxes.  That effectively raises the cost to the buyer of this property, and would have a negative impact in what a prospective buyer would be willing to pay to the seller.  It depressed the market for all high priced homes.  Big impact here in NYC.

Wow, I looked at the listing again, they had been trying to sell it since Oct 2015 at $3,495,000.  I guess Lisa bought at $1,929,970 in March 2019, considerably less.  The previous purchasers  had paid $3,110,000 in Sep 2008.  There is a story somewhere in there.  I do not follow Lisa, so I don't know anything about this.

It;s absolutely a beautiful and special piece of property. Way more and way too grand for my taste ( and the worry of maintaining it). IT really looks like a wonderful place for a family with lots of extended family and friends.

I can't imagine living there by my lonesome.
