Since I'm not going to be eating any of the food in a QVC demo, I'm not too worried about it.
Did the lid of the grill actually touch the food being prepared? I don't watch cooking shows, so I wouldn't know. One thing I do know - I've seen worse (and I don't mean on QVC).

@Its Me LuLuBelle2 I've picked up on stuff like that on TV too. It's amazing that more people don't get seriosly ill from eating out.

I have complained for months about the Q's unsanitary practices.

It’s a shopping channel product demo, not a restaurant.
It certainly wouldn't hurt to follow sanitary food prep practices. They are supposed to be professionals or have some credentials I believe.

@Carmie Wolfgang Puck working on HSN comes to mind.

I always see Rachael Ray touch raw meat, wipe her hands on a towel and continue on. I hope she's washing them and it's edited out ![]()

I was watching a cooking show a few weeks ago (don't remember who it was), but the chef was preparing raw chicken (put his fingers in the small salt bowl right after pounding out the chicken and salted it). Then moved onto veggies and again using the same salt bowl (now contaminated with raw chicken) salted them. Ugh. What's wrong with good old salt shakers?
I was watching a food show on QVC a few years ago with a new vendor (I can’t remember who it was). Before seasoning the meat, the vendor took a spoon and put a little salt and pepper on the cutting board. When the host gave him a funny look, he explained that he didn’t want to risk contaminating the salt and pepper bowls. That was a first.
